His relatives are picking up
his mail.

I have been on the phone to
both his mother and his sister for hours today. I just spoke to his sister in
his hospital room. Mac is now partially conscious but is in intensive care in
the cardiac ward in Long Beach, CA. He is there under the name Larry Stewart McCloud.
THIS IS NO JOKE! He is struggling for his life! He laid on the floor for
over a day before anyone found him!!! He is severely dehydrated, his sodium levels
bottomed out, and he can not even speak!

I
will post updates to this page on his progress. Please help me to help Mac by
sending a donation for his medical bills today!

A note from Mac's mother, Honey McCloud:
My
son Stewart McCloud lives in a very small studio apartment, He sleeps on a mattress
on the floor and drives an old Honda. Stewart has a law degree, but finds the
work he does now with the Bi Men Network his "calling." He is dedicated
to it, but lives hand to mouth with NO health insurance and has no money or time
for anything but the BARE necessities. He spends 15+ hours a day on his website
trying to help men who have no one else to turn to or no where else to go.

I used to believe in the adage - as you sow you shall reap--well. I would really
like to see some of these fellows helping so that my son would feel worthy and
appreciated!!!)

He feels so strongly about this work - I just wish he would receive some gratitude!

Sincerely,

Honey McCloud

Update from Mac's Mother:

Hospital
called Mac's sister at 4 a.m. - he is in intensive care - hematologist is coming
later - they think he may have had a slight heart attack - but can't determine
what is going on with his blood ...? Keep up the light! Please! I guess cards
will get to him somehow ....

Update from the Webmaster:

I just spoke to Mac's nurse.
I asked her if he seemed better to her, and and she said that she was new to his
case, but he was awake and responding. She said his heart rate is nearly normal,
and that she wished she could tell me more, but she had only been with him for
30 mins. I told her that he had been at death's door since Thursday, and did he
seem like he was better than that? She replied that he was much better than that,
although very weak. She was very nice on the phone, and said that they would be
getting him up into a chair, hopefully this afternoon. Please pray for Mac. The
last time they moved him he had a mild heart attack.

Update from the Webmaster:

Called the hospital this morning,
and they said that Mac was listed in Stable Condition, but is still in ICU. Received
the following emails from one of my own Networking Groups that Mac was responsible
for setting up:

Dear
Mac:

Thank you for being instrumental
in guiding Tracey on her path to starting this group...a haven of sorts...sometimes
confronting, but always with support in mind. Your loving heart and guidance has
had repercussions that will go on through the years as the women here find their
strength, perhaps borne within and because of this group. I hope your journey
is filled with warmth, and always know you will not be forgotten!

Tracey, I hope for Mac's family
and friends, such as yourself, that he pulls through. If I never posted here,
in this group, again, I will never forget the comfort the group has at times brought,
and also knowing your friend Mac was a determining factor in that. THANKYOU Mac!

Peace and comfort to Mac,his
family and friends.

~ Robyn from Australia

Tracey,

With
people like you praying for and pulling for Mac, I hope he will pull through this.
I know he is very special to you and therefore special to us as well. It seems
in a way that "we" are here because of his influence. He sounds like
a very loving person and I pray for his recovery.

Barb

Tracey,
I
just read about Mac. I am sorry to hear that about him, I hope he makes it. I
will definitely pray for him. I don't have any money right now, until I get my
first pay check. I will be sure to send what I can to support him. Please keep
me posted.

PJ

Tracey:

You know I believe in miracles and I am asking for a Christmas miracle for Mac!

He has given so many of us a voice we never had or even dreamed would be possible!
There is much to be done yet and we need him. I have requested that he be put
on prayer list that has over a million people on it!

Nancy
Women
from my Networking groups are making contributions to Mac's medical bills. I only
pray that some of his male networking members will also help the person who has
helped them so much! If every one of Mac's Networking members coughed up 1 dollar,
he'd be able to pay the hospital and recuperate! Please consider helping the man
who has helped thousands of you worldwide!

12/16/05
Update from the Webmaster:

I talked to Mac's mother late
last night. She said they have finally moved him from ICU, and that she can almost
tell what he is saying now. It's a miracle that he's made it this far, but the
Doctors think he will have to be in the hospital for at least another month!!!
Sad, because of his insurance situation. I'm busting it here to drum up donations
from the Bi Men Networking Groups. There are over 250,000 members worldwide, so
I figure a buck a person sure wouldn't hurt any of them.

Update from the Webmaster:

I tried to call Mac today,
but his nurse said he'd been asleep all day and she did not want to disturb him.
I asked her how he was doing, and she said he has stabilized and that he was doing
much better than when he first came in.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has been sending prayers and also
making donations to help Mac with his medical bills. It sucks to do the kind of
volunteer work he does and not even be able to afford health insurance. I've seen
this situation over and over again, where the people who do the most important
work on the Earth are rarely compensated for it during their lives, but Mac and
the Bi Men Network deserve better! If we all pull together we can make it so that
Mac can continue his work and his mission: to have a safe place for bisexual men
worldwide! Please make your donation towards this man's mission today by clicking

Update from Mac's Mother:

Mac is in room 260 he can
talk some better. I saw him Wed in ICU - better now - is out of ICU - also had
a heart attack and staph infection besides the blood poisoning - but the nurses
got him out of bed today a bit...Have NO idea when he will be released

Finally, just spoke to Mac
today for the first time since this has happened. He said that this is the worst
thing he has ever gone through in his life, and that he is glad to be alive. He
doesn't expect to be out of the hospital for at least another week. He also gave
me his passwords to let the Networking groups know what is going on. What a way

Letter and Offer from a fellow Bi Men Network Member:

Dear Gentlemen;

WE are married, some of us are engaged to be married, and some are separated,
divorced or widowed. WE face unique challenges in life often hiding OUR feelings
from wives, friends, and family. Others among US have had their marriages and
families destroyed. Some have even lost jobs. WE are accused of "fence sitting"
by heterosexuals and homosexuals. Some of US find ways to incorporate OUR feelings
into marriages and families and decide whether or not to act on them. Some have
tremendously supportive wives/partners and yet others of us struggle in silence
and loneliness. At times WE feel totally invisible, alone, misunderstood. I am
referring to bisexual men or men who self identify as bisexual.

WE ALL SHARE ONE COMMON FRIEND - Stewart "Mac" McCloud who has provided
an outstanding resource for our hidden community - www.bimen.org . Mac has created
a forum to explore our unique lives with others in like situations. Mac has a
huge heart, and has given it many times over to men who were terrified and even
suicidal. Now he NEEDS OUR HELP!!! "MAC" is seriously ill in Long Beach
Community Hospital after suffering a massive heart-attack. He is uninsured as
are 40 million people in the United States.

As a clinical therapist specializing in working with bisexual men, I will be sending
my latest research article "Developmental Stages of Bisexual Men" with
helpful tips for bisexual men and a FREE 15 minute consultation to all those who
contribute $10.00 or more VIA PAY PAL on my website - www.bi-men-therapy.com.
Include your phone numbers on payment for return consultation calls!! Please help
the man who has helped so many of us by contributing today!!!
Wishing You All A Happy and Healthy Holiday Season.

Update from Mac's Mother:

Besides the cellulitis, heart attack, blood poisoning and THREE staph infections
- I think it is a miracle he is still alive! I pray that another miracle will
happen and that he will 'reap' some of the care that he has given to the Bi Men
Network Members. My son told me today that if he doesn't get any support, he will
have to find some sort of a job to pay the bills and give up his mission of having
a supportive place for bisexual men worldwide.

When I call him tomorrow I will surely relay all of your efforts. Bless, bless,
and hope you have a Merry Christmas! Thank you so very much for helping our son!!!!

Response from the Webmaster:

Hi Mike,

Thanks so much for emailing me. Yes it is legit. Mac gave me his passwords to
let everyone know what was going on. I guess his emails are bouncing because he's
been away from his computer for so long, and the account is full. I have no idea
what to delete, so I can't really do much about it.
Anyway, thanks for the generous donation. Now if we could just get more people
to get onboard and give Mac a hand . . .
Have a great holiday!

Update from Mac's Mother:

The rehab place doesn't take
patients without insurance - and sounds as though Mac will need about 4 more weeks
of care.

I surely
hope that these men have coughed up some donations!!! When you think how many

that these bi-men can gather the strength to address an envelope!!!!

Thanks again for all you have done, Tracey.

Email from Lesbian/Bi Women Network that Mac helped to set up:

Hi Tracey...

Was just checking on Mac's status. Seems (thankfully and praise God) he's doing
better, but will be down for a little longer? I'm just really happy for all involved
that he's on the path (even slow) road to recovery! Just wondering if the donations
from his group have picked up now that you got the details? I hope so. I read
that letter from Sheldon Lewin. That was a 'start the ball rolling' one I hope.
Anyway, just know that like promised, Mac is in our prayers!

Robyn

12/27/05
Response from Tracey, the Webmaster:

Thanks for checking on Mac. It's been a tough few weeks for sure, but I did speak
to Mac on Christmas day, and he was sounding a little more like himself. Mac has
to go into a rehab center for at least a month, and of course the rehab center
will not take anyone without insurance. I've spent several days sending emails
to over 800 of Macs Networking groups to inform the members of his situation.

I have no idea how the donations
are going. I do not have access to his Paypal account, and not sure how much is
being mailed directly to his address. If everyone in his Network of over 250,000
men would just cough up one buck, he'd be good to go with nothing to worry about.

It amazes me how people will
utilize the vast resources on Mac's huge website, and his never-ending support
for BI men everywhere, but when the going gets tough some of these same people
will not help at all. It's very sad how apathetic our community has become, and
I do understand how tough it is right now--both my GF and I have been laid off
from long-term jobs in the last couple of years--but two dollars, an envelope,
and a stamp is not much to ask of anyone in any circumstance!

I do appreciate all of the
women in our own networking groups who have pitched in and donated, and also the
men in Mac's Networking groups who have donated have been really, really generous.
It would just be nice if everyone pitched in just a little, because if they don't
the Bi Men Network may end up like so many of our GLBT bookstores--closed forever.

Update from the Webmaster:

I spoke to Mac today about
putting together his newsletter. I could pretty much understand him, which is
a huge improvement! The Doctors are waiting to see if he will stabilize enough
to go into a rehab facility, that is if they can find one that will take him without
insurance.

I pray that Mac will get the care he deserves, and that the donations keep coming
in to help him with his medical costs. Mac said that his sister told him that
donations have been coming in, mostly $5 donations, which is really fantastic!
If everyone sent $5, then Mac could get the care he deserves and have enough money
to fund more resources for Bi men worldwide! If we all just donate $1, $2, or
$5 then Mac will have nothing to worry about for the new year

NO
MATTER HOW SMALL, YOUR DONATION IS NEEDED! Help the man who has helped many of
you worldwide!!

He sounds stronger, but is still not sure when he will be moved to a rehab
facility. He told me to thank every one of you who has sent him money by Paypal
and also in the mail to his home address. One generous supporter sent a check
for $1,000!!!! Thankyou!!! This will pay for a few hours in the ICU.

With all of us pulling together, we can make this the best year for the Bi Men

Hoping each and every one of you has a Happy New Year!

Just talked with Mac. His

I hope Mac is doing well!
I am contributing on Sheldon Lewis' website. My question is this... is the Bi
Men's Weekend still going to happen? If not, someone needs to make the call to
cancel and cancel room reservations, etc. Just a thought.

Scott
Member of Bi-Men

1/3/06
Response from Tracey, the Webmaster:

Hey Scott,
Thanks for emailing me. Mac is still not the best. The doctors are now saying
he may need a blood transfusion.
As far as the bimen weekend in Las Vegas, I talked to Mac last Thursday and
he had me put together a newsletter for him. I'm sending it out tomorrow morning,
but I posted it to the website on Saturday:
http://www.bimen.org/newsletter1-06.htm
As far as I know, the Bi Men weekend is still on, because he made sure that
I listed the information again on the Newsletter. I guess he is certain he will
be well by then. I pray that he will be.
Again, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've been wondering about
it, but didn't want to push him too much with too much negative stuff--like me
saying he may not be well. The weekend is just really important to him and his
mission.
Sincerely,
Tracey Stevens

1/5/06
Update from the Webmaster:

I talked with Mac today. Good
news: He is up and moving slowly with a walker. Bad News: his doctor was desperately
trying to get Mac signed up with Medicare, but they turned Mac down. More Bad
News: Mac has to be in the hospital for at least two more weeks. What this means
is that Mac will be liable for at least 5 weeks in a hospital and 1 week in ICU.
I'm not sure what that totals in cost, but I am sure it is not going to be cheap!

If each one of us would just pitch in $2.00 Mac would not have to worry about
a thing for 2006!

Now maybe you are one of the
lucky ones, who is cruising along with your insurance paid by the place your work.
I had that luxury myself until 911 happened and I was laid off, like over a million
other people, and couldn't find a job. I opened my own business, Amazing Dreams
Publishing, which has over 1,000 resources for lesbian and bi women who are coming
out. It has been a struggle to make ends meet, but I believe in my heart that
this is the most important work I've ever done in my life.

Mac also feels the same way about the work he does for the Bi Men Network. He
has given up everything to do the work that he truly believes is his calling,
and now the person who has given it his all needs a bit of help from us!
Won't you please put $2.00 in an envelope and send it to Mac today? Here's
his address:
Stewart ("Mac") McCloud
1826 East Third Street, #1
Long
Beach, CA 90802
USA
His relatives are picking up his mail.
Please help the man who has helped thousands of men worldwide!
I also asked Mac if Las Vegas was still on and he replied "Tell my guys
that Mac will be fully recovered and ready to go to Las Vegas! THE SHOW MUST GO
ON!!!"

What a guy!

Update from Mac's Mother:

Thanks for sending the
ideas along...have sent them on to Mac's Sister. She went to LB today. Said the
place was the (ugh) typical nursing home like place ...he has an old man as his
roommate - no phone or TV ... they say for 2 weeks. Peg said he cried - and she
got a newspaper and book for him to read. Imagine it will be a l o n g two weeks.
He still has an IV in for the staph infection. He received about $700 from readers.
I was really hoping for much more. Sigh. Course, I don't know about credit cards
or whatever.
Bless you for doing all that you do. I am very grateful!

I hope you are doing better.
I sent in a hundred bucks. Not much I know but I hope, with the rest of your fans
pitching in something that it gets you out of this jam.

It would be nice to know how
we are making a difference and if you are getting the financial aid you need from

that so we can see what gap amount is left to be sent in.

Much luck and good health

Response from Tracey, the Webmaster:
Dear
Dan,

Thanks for emailing me, and
thanks so much for your generous donation. I will read your note to Mac when I
speak to him.

I wish I knew the status as
far as financial contributions vs hospital bill, but I am afraid to ask Mac because
he has been so ill. I have heard that his bill will probably run between $150,000
and $250,000 by the time this is done, and I do know that he has received around
$3,000 in contributions to his Paypal account. I have no way of knowing how much
has come in to his mailbox at home though.

I am trying to post updates
to the website, and also post emails that people have written me. Would you mind
if I posted your email with just your first name, and of course, no email address?
Let me know on this. It helps others to see that this is a real situation, and
not some made-up thing.

Thanks again!

This message is for Tracey........

I help Mac with the "Bi-Men-Travel-Desk". It seems as if quite a few
of the members have been trying to send money to Mac's PayPal as well as send
emails to his WEBTV account but it seems to be full. Can you help by checking
these out for me??? I sent money to his PayPal account on 25 December without
any problems but a few of the guys tried as recently as last week but they were
unsuccessful.

Thanks in advance.

1/16/06
Response from Tracey, the Webmaster:

Hi Dave,

Sorry I am late getting back
with you. I am working hard running two of my own businesses and also trying to
keep the Bi Men Network afloat. It's been a trip for sure.
Not sure what
to do about the Paypal situation. I had one of my network members email me and
tell me that she had trouble too. I went out and made another donation to test
it and it worked fine for me. I placed a new link with instructions and links
on the Help mac page, which is here:
http://www.bimen.org/helpmacnow.htm

The woman who wrote me said
when she tried the Paypal again it worked fine the second time around. It would
be nice just to get people to send it directly to his home address, but it's been
hard trying to get folks to give just a little. If everyone in both of our networks
would do this, then it would pay for Macs medical bills. Just a shame when people
can't afford insurance. My partner and I are in the same darned boat : (

Hopefully I will be able to
speak with Mac either later tonight or tomorrow morning. I emailed his mom asking
for his room number a few minutes ago. I will see if I can clear out some of his
emails. It's hard because I don't know what he needs or not.

Tracey

Email from the Bi-Men-Travel-Desk
Director/Moderator:

Hey Tracey,
Thanks for replying.

I'll post another message to
the group and ask those who tried PayPal and had problems to try again.. as well
as give them the link to 'helpmacnow'. One 'displaced' guy from New Orleans who
now lives in Maine emailed me desperate to make a donation and didn't want to
send cash via snailmail.

When you speak with Mac again tell him I send my love and that many guys in the
group are praying for his complete and speedy recovery. If there is anything he
wants me to do for him just let me know.

He may want to have ya check his PayPal account as I am sure money is there.

Have a good day!

xoxo,
Dave

1/17/06
Response from Tracey, the Webmaster:

Hey Dave,

When you post another message
to your group, you may also think about telling them that so far there has been
maybe $5,000 in donations, and Mac's bill will probably be between $150,000 and
$200,000!

Like I was saying, if each
of us in both networks, which is over 255,000 people would just sent him $2 to
$5 Mac's bills would be paid and he could continue his work.

Mac is still really sick with
some kind of weird infection that he may have contacted while at the last hospital.
I've heard that this is really common now, because of all the antibiotics that
we've been forced to take for years, which makes people less tolerant of infections.
Just sucks.

Thanks again for helping me.
I will send you his room number when his mom emails me back. I'm sure he'd love
to talk to you, as he must be about stir crazy from being in the hospital for
over 6 weeks.

Tracey

Email from the Bi-Men-Travel-Desk

Hey guys,

Mac is recuperating slowly.
He is still being affected by the staph infection, and has to be taking high doses
of antibiotics every 3 days to ward off the infection. Please continue to keep
him in your prayers.

Last week I appealed for donations
to be sent to his PayPal account or direct via snailmail to his apartment. To
date there has been a total of $5,000.00 received. To all of you who have made
donations your good deed, I am sure, will be rewarded. If you have not made a
donation, I encourage you to do so. Mac has dedicated the last 10 years of his
life to helping Bi-Men and the BI-Men-Network. Isn't it time you help him out??

If you had problems with PayPal
last week please try again today. I tested Paypal and was able to send money to
Mac.

Again, we have received
$5,000.00 to date, BUT, Mac's medical bills will be in the region of $200,000.00.
PLEASE make a donation!!!!

Please check out: http://www.bimen.org/helpmacnow.htm

Peace!

even imagine (or want to) what the hospital bill will be! Lord! Just very thankful
he has pulled
through!

Thanks for info about Medicaid.
Will pass it on.

Response from Tracey, the Webmaster:

Hey Honey,

Sorry so late getting
back with you. I've been really busy here. I did my own newsletter and sent it
out to 3,000 of my Lesbian and Bi Women networking members. I talked about Mac
and told them how to send donations:

www.amazingdreamspublishing.com/newslettersignupform.html

I've
had a couple of his guys email me with problems to Paypal, so I've been emailing
back and forth trying to help people donate. One guy donated $1,000!!! It's been
a trip all the way around here.

Update from Tracey, the Webmaster:

Dear Friends and Bi
Men Network Members,

I just got some really bad news from Mac's mom:

Mac's sister went to get him out of the nursing home today where he has been for
the last two weeks - after spending four weeks in the hospital. He collapsed -
paramedics were called again. This time they took him to the big Long Beach Hospital.
He is spending tonight in the ER - no bed. Sodium all out of whack again - and
he got THREE staph infections at the Community Hospital - this is SIX weeks now.
I hope to hell they can get 'at' whatever all of this IS at the big hospital!!!!
Please pray for him!

xoxo, Honey

Please send your prayers, positive
thoughts or energy to Mac, and if you are so moved, please send a donation to
his medical bills by either Paypal or snail mail here:

http://www.bimen.org/helpmacnow.htm

So far we have collected around
$5,000, but Mac's medical bills will probably run into the $200,000 range, and
now this tonight . . . If each of us in this network sent $5, Mac would have nothing
to worry about in 2006.

Sincerely,

Tracey

Update from Mac's Mother:

Peg just called again
- he is in the ER (no room at the inn, so to speak, yet). Sodium all out of whack
AGAIN - will test blood, etc. Don't think 2 weeks at that awful nursing home helped
- and the little community hospital that gave him 3 staph infections! New hospital
is:

Long Beach Memorial Medical Center
2801 Atlantic Ave.
Long Beach, CA.

He has no room yet - but hospital no is: 562 933 2000. LORD!!! And mercy, mercy.

Update from Mac's Mother:

Called the hospital
earlier - had to go through about 5 people before I got a nurse on his station
- Mac was sleeping - room 709-A....that is all I found out.

Update from Mac's Mother:

Finally talked to his
nurse from the ICU around noon - he is stable. They will know more when the test
results are in. His sister may go to LB tomorrow or Sunday depending on how he
is. We are back to square 1 with the low sodium fouling up everything. Think the
2 weeks in that nursing home set him back. Peg said she thinks he slept for the
last 3 days there, and that he wasn't fed -imagine them releasing him when he
couldn't even WALK! Staph infections from the 'real' hospital certainly makes
one wary of being hospitalized! Hope that this BIG hospital is more sterile! The
US medical profession certainly seems pitiful - especially when you have no insurance.
It is all so sad and frightening! AGAIN, I appreciate ALL you have done to help
him with his men. Thank you so very much.

xoxo, Honey

Update from Mac's Mother:

Mac was given a blood
transfusion today. He is still in the ICU. Peg is driving down to LB to see him
tomorrow. Will know more then. Lordy, lordy! Such a time he is having! Not too
easy being a mom either, and not being able to pop in and go see for myself.

Update from Mac's Mother:

Mac had another blood
transfusion--still in ICU. His sister saw him today. Nurse said they would put
him in a rehab THERE when he is able. Still getting stuff thru his veins to get
sodium stabilized. Can you imagine them just letting him sleep for THREE days
with no food or water???? Gawd! Nurse told Peg he was 'out of the woods' today
though.

Update from Mac's Mother:

Mac is now in room #503
- hospital ph. no. is: 1-562-933-2000.

Mac has finally been release from
the hospital!

Dear Bi Men Members
and Friends:

I'm very happy to say Mac is back! After 7 weeks and 3 hospitals, I am happy to
let you know that I am on the mend at my mother's home in Palm Springs. I can
not thank you enough for all of your kind words, spiritual, emotional, and financial
support. I will try to thank as many of you as I can personally, but I also must
heal and get "back in the saddle again."
I regret that "Doctor's Orders" has made it necesary to postpone
the 5th Bi Men Getaway Weekend and Conference in Las Vegas until October 5, 6,
7, 8 2006. If you have made hotel reservations at the Silverton, please call their
800 number and move them forward to October.
Thank you again for everything you have done to support me emotionally, spiritually,
and financially during this dreadful period. Seven weeks in the hospital is no
picnic, but I am on the mend at Mom's in sunny Palm Springs.

Thank you again and God bless
you all.
